Badia - Hometown of Father Josef Freinademez

The holiday town Badia consists of the Pedraces and St. Leonhard subdivision. Due to the mild climate in the green basin and the beautiful hiking trails with numerous family run farms, the town is ideal for a summer vacation in the heart of the Dolomites. Stations of the Cross will lead you to the birthplace of Saint Josef Freinademez in Oies. He is being worshipped and admired by the citizens of the Gadertal Valley and all of South Tyrol.

You have direct access to two modern ski lifts and a chair lift (seats four) connecting Pedraces with other parts of the 'ski carousel' of La Villa, Corvara, San Cassino, Colfosco and Sella Ronda. One popular excursion for all seasons is the Church of the Holy Cross at the foot of the Kreuzkofel massif with its beautiful panoramic views.
