Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage

Since June 26, 2009, the Dolomites are an official member of the UNESCO World Heritage and one of the world's most beautiful alpine regions. Alta Badia, in the heart of the Dolomites, is home of two UNESCO sanctuaries: the Puez-Geisler and
the Fanes-Sennes-Prags nature reserve.

The mountain range south of the Alps, situated between the Etsch and Piave River, the Pustertal Valley to the North and Belluno to the south, is dominated by the powerful rock faces of the Dolomites. One of the most impressive places in the Dolomites is the Sella Massif.

Alta Badia is located south in a sunny basin in the heart of the Dolomites. Framed by a rich landscape, dominated by Grup dl Sela (Sella massif), Sassonghers, Gherdenacia, as well as the Kreuzkofel and surrounded by the Puez-Geisler and the Fanes-Sennes-Prags nature reserve.
